A controversial Sexual Reorientation Debate was held in Parliament on Wednesday (30 JANUARY 2013) when leading figures on both sides of the issue took part in a debate in the Houses of Parliament on the legitimacy and freedom to offer sexual reorientation therapy. Beyond Critique: ...

...The Misuse of Science by Professional Mental Health Bodies. This briefing seminar discussed some misapplications of scientific data which have been accepted uncritically by a range of professional bodies, all of which appear to be beyond critique, offering ideological positions that cannot be defended by current scientific findings. It also considers the consequences of the positions taken by the professional bodies which will ensure that vulnerable individuals are now likely to be exposed to unregulated, non-supervised and poorly monitored therapeutic initiatives aimed at reducing homosexual feelings.
