Who and what is 'CORE'?
CORE is a Christian initiative seeking to support men and women who struggle with homosexuality, and related issues. Of particular concern to us are people who struggle to find a useful place within the church, either because local congregations find it difficult to get alongside people who haven't yet resolved their issues, or because the church has taken a liberal perspective which undermines their desire to move away from homosexual practice and preference.
Not everyone who contacts CORE has a Christian perspective and we welcome those who come from a position of no faith, and those coming from other faiths. We don't seek to convert to Christianity those who come from non-Christian perspectives.
The initiative is educational in nature offering some therapeutic support as capacity to do so allows. If we can't help, we'll do our best to put people in touch with other organisations and individuals who may be able to do so.
CORE offers confidentiality to those who seek it but within an ethical framework consistent within most counselling and psychotherapeutic bodies inthe United Kingdom.
